So, it is official...the repairs on my car are about as much as the car is worth, so it is totaled.
We thought we had purchased a policy that would give us a new car if it was totaled in an accident, but that is not the case. The policy would only give us a new car if the repairs would have cost more than the cost of buying a new car. What are the chances anyway of surviving a car accident where the damages are $20K or more?!?
I was not happy because like most insurance agents, he did not explain this clearly, and I let him know that. He informed me that in all his years working, they have only given one customer a new car!
Now it is off to buy a car...again...our third car in 3 years! Of course at this time there are barely any dealer incentives to buy a new car, and you can never find the things you want in a used car. It is just frustrating, cars are way overpriced, and you have to come up with all kinds of creative ways to finally get a monthly payment you can afford.
GRRRR...I am just grumpy:-)
